Chief Information Officer
Kirk Hallum brings over 25 years of Information Technology Services to Carlile, the last 18 of which have been in the banking sector. Hallum joined NORTHSTAR BANK OF TEXAS in April of 2011 as Chief Information Officer. When Carlile acquired Northstar in 2012, Hallum moved to the holding company to oversee all technology needs and facilitate future mergers and acquisitions.
Hallum began his banking career in 1996 with First State Bank of Texas, a division of Marquette Financial Co., in Denton, TX, as Vice President of Network Services. Hallum managed all aspects of technology and telephony services, stabilizing networks by standardizing systems across all divisions for consistency. While with First State, he supervised the network servicing and conversions for eight bank acquisitions, mergers and new sites. In 2001, Hallum was promoted to Infrastructure Architect Vice President for Marquette Financial Co. where he designed and implemented infrastructure to support a variety of enterprise-wide initiatives. In 2002, First State Bank of Texas was acquired by Wells Fargo.
From 2003 to 2006, Hallum worked for Summit Bank, NA, Fort Worth, TX as Senior Vice President Network Services and was responsible for delivery and support of network technologies. Summit was acquired by Frost Bank in 2006.
Prior to joining Northstar Bank of Texas, Hallum served as Chief Technology Officer at Texans Credit Union, Richardson, TX where he supervised the delivery and support of all technology, as well as back-office item processing including payment services, ACH, wires, and ATMs
