Don CosbyCosby brings more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services related industries including his work with Tom Nichols over the last 25 years.

Cosby joined Tom Nichols at Ford Bank Group and served as Chief Financial Officer of 23 banks owned by Ford from 1981-1989. In 1989, Cosby held the title of Chief Fiscal (Financial) Officer at Texas Tech University until 1996 when he teamed with Nichols to form State National Bank, Inc. (SNBI).

From SNBI’s inception in 1996 through its acquisition in 2007, Cosby served as Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. At SNBI, Cosby directed acquisitions analysis and coordination, regulatory applications and compliance, registration with the SEC, tax planning and compliance, and debt structuring.

Cosby also worked with the accounting firm of Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co. (now KPMG) from 1977-1981.

Cosby holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University and became a certified public accountant in 1979.
